Fall is a great time for wine enthusiasts with many new vintage releases. At Stewart's WS we always look forward to Autumn as we await the arrival of our Louis Jadot Burgundy order. Just arriving is the much talked about 2021 vintage.

A vintage that had to overcome many weather-related issues from early frost which unfortunately killed off beginning April budding to hail and a cool and wet summer. This led to much lower yields and consequently far less wine produced both in the whites and reds. 

The good news is the quality of these wines are excellent. Winemakers (Vignerons) rose to the challenges before them and crafted wines that exemplify a more classic Burgundy vintage with crisp whites that are classically honed, with energy, freshness and clear terroir expression. For the reds, they are perfectly balanced, with sweet tannins, crisp acidity and modest alcohols, typically no higher than 13%. We adore the aromatic character; these are perfumed, expressive reds, bursting with floral notes and red berries. As said, quantities are much smaller than previous vintages, so we advise you to not wait on these beautiful wines of Burgundy.
